EESAC
The Educational Excellence School Advisory Council (EESAC) is the sole body responsible for final decision making at the school relating to the implementation of school improvement and accountability. The EESAC must assist in the preparation and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP), must assist the principal in the development of the annual budget, must make decisions regarding the use of funds allocated by the Florida Legislature to the school advisory councils (known in Miami-Dade County Public Schools as Educational Excellence School Advisory Councils), and, with staff, must decide on the use of School Recognition Funds awarded to the school. The function of the Key Biscayne K-8 Center Educational Excellence School Advisory Council is to bring together all stakeholders and involve them in an authentic role in decisions which affect instruction and the delivery of programs. The purpose of the EESAC is to work to ensure improved student achievement. The goal of the Council will be to achieve consensus in decision making. The focus of the goal is in the preparation and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP) as it directly impacts the delivery of the educational programs and services required by Florida's High Quality Educational System and the Miami Dade County Public Schools Strategic Planning Goals. MEETINGS The regular meetings of the Council are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the Media Center at 2:15 p.m. |
